Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central club St Neots Town have announced the signing of a new quartet of players ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Exciting 18-year-old Aaron Smith is a talented young left-back or midfielder who joins from Mildenhall Town, who were relegated from Step 4 to the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division at the end of last season.

 

He spent time at Peterborough United last season, joining up with their under-18 side on a non-contract basis after a string of impressive performances for the 'Hall and prior to this, was part of the Norwich City football programme at Ely College, where he was recommended to the then manager, Dean Greygoose.

 

Sam Gomarsall, 24, is a winger who joins from another Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division outfit, Newmarket Town, for whom he scored 18 goals last season.

 

He previously represented the Oxford University side.

 

Alfie Connor, 22, is a central midfielder who, having been a scholar at Peterborough United, joins from Bostik League North side Soham Town Rangers.

 

He joined the Greens in September 2017 from current Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division Central champions Kettering Town.

 

He had signed for the Poppies at the start of the 2017/18 season having left Peterborough, and previously had a loan spell with Wisbech Town.

 

Twenty-six-year-old Jake Noble is a centre-back or defensive midfielder who brings experience to the Saints having spent six seasons at Essex Senior Leaguers Saffron Walden Town and most recently, Haverhill Rovers, where he played under new manager Marc Abbott.
