Veteran forward Stuart Beavon joins following his release by SkyBet League One neighbours Coventry City.

Having played over 300 matches in the Football League, Beavon arrives at Liberty Way adding a wealth of experience to Ginnelly’s new-look squad.

The 35-year-old Reading-born forward came up through non-League football with Ardley United, AFC Wallingford, Didcot Town and Weymouth.

He scored 24 league goals for the Terras in just 86 appearances, earning him a move to Wycombe Wanderers.

In five seasons at Adams Park, Beavon made 125 appearances, finding the back of the net 34 times.

Further Football League spells followed with Preston North End and Burton Albion before a move to Coventry in January 2017.

Beavon scored on his debut for the Sky Blues and it was his semi-final goal that sent Coventry to Wembley for the 2017 Football League Trophy final.

With first-team opportunities limited at the Ricoh Arena, Beavon spent the entirety of last season on loan to Wrexham, making 39 appearances in the Vanarama National League as the Reds finished fourth, losing in the play-off quarter-finals.

Also signing is another experienced striker, Luke Benbow.

The powerful striker scored 20 league goals for Boro`s new league rivals Stourbridge last season as they booked their place in the play-offs and joins for an undisclosed fee.

He re-joined the Glassboys a year ago from National League side Solihull Moors having been on loan at Amblecote during the 2017/18 season.

He had started out with Solihull and also had an earlier spell with the Glassboys as well as with Redditch United and Hednesford Town before re-joining Moors in July 2017.
