The Stoke-born 31-year-old is a vastly experienced player who joins the Mariners from Leek Town, having also played for Congleton Town, Mossley AFC, Colwyn Bay, Willenhall Town, Hednesford Town, Leamington, Kidsgrove Athletic, Halesowen Town, Nantwich Town and Witton Albion.

He began his career as a youth player at Port Vale and Manchester City and also played reserve football for Leicester City.

Marine manager Neil Young told the club`s website: “Scott is a central defender who played in a very good Leek team last season that just missed out in the playoff final. He has a great attitude and will bring a lot of experience both on and off the pitch“.
