Blythe`s Back With Greenbacks

Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central club Bedworth United have re-signed Richard Blythe after a season away with United Counties League Premier Division neighbours Rugby Town.

The 28-year-old was a regular in the Greenbacks promotion season and was club captain for a time and was a fan favourite, always giving 100% and showing some nice touches on the ball.

As a youngster he won the FA Youth Cup with Aston Villa and appeared for Wales five times at under-19 level.

He has also turned out for the likes of Rushall Olympic, Barwell and Coventry Sphinx.

When he was 14 he had trials for Athletico Madrid in the same team as Antoine Griezeman but was unfortunate in that he found it difficult learning Spanish at such a young age and was released!
