Shariff began his career with the now defunct Rushden & Diamonds and was a scholar there when he joined Banbury on `work experience` in November 2009.

He stayed with Banbury for the rest of that season, making 31 appearances and scoring 3 goals.

He impressed enough to be awarded a professional contract by the Diamonds in the summer of 2010 and then re-joined Banbury early in season 2010/11 on loan and made 21 appearances, scoring 8 goals before his loan spell ended in mid-November.

He was then loaned out by Rushden to then-Conference North side Nuneaton Borough and on his return to Nene Park, he made his Conference debut for Diamonds in February of 2011, going on to make a total of 11 appearances for them through to the end of that season.

Upon the club`s demise in the summer of 2011, Shariff moved to then-Conference National side Tamworth and made 24 appearances in 2011/12 before joining Hemel Hempstead Town on loan for the final two months of the season.

A permanent move to Oxford City followed in the summer of 2012 but he was released by them at the end of November whereupon he immediately signed for Kettering Town, although he only made one appearance for them before opting in December 2012 to return for his third spell with Banbury in which he made 22 appearances scoring 4 goals through to the end of that season to bring his Puritans career total to 74 appearances and 15 goals.

He moved on to Corby Town in the summer of 2013 and has since played for Stamford AFC, Belper Town, Daventry Town, AFC Rushden & Diamonds, Alfreton Town, St Neots Town and Stratford Town, where he was part of the squad that reached the Southern Premier Division Central play-offs last season.

Manager Mike Ford told http://www.banburyunitedfc.co.uk: “I’ve worked with Nabs before and admired the way he worked for the team. If you add that to his ability to score goals, we have secured a very good signing. I look forward to working with him over the course of next season.”

Striker or attacking midfielder Pablo Haysham also joins the Puritans.

The 27-year-old was originally with Oxford City and was a regular in their Hellenic League Oxford City Nomads side, as well as making a few first-team appearances for them, prior to joining Didcot Town in the summer of 2012.

In three seasons with the Railwaymen, Spanish-born Haysham scored 36 goals from 120 appearances, attracting the attention of phoenix club Hereford, who he then joined in the summer of 2015.

At Edgar Street he was part of the side that won three successive league championships as the Bulls quickly moved up through the non-League Pyramid, scoring 52 goals for them in 142 appearances.

With the additional travelling looming in National League North, should he had stayed at Hereford, he opted to leave them in the summer of 2018 and signed for Southern League Premier South side Salisbury. However, after scoring 5 goals from 30 appearances he then found playing opportunities limited with the Whites and returned in February 2019 to Didcot on loan until the end of the season.

Ford added: "Pablo has won a championship medal at this level and having played at Hereford in front of a large expectant crowd every week will bring excellent experience to the group. Again, he fits the profile of a player we are looking to attract, good attitude combined with excellent footballing ability".
