Devizes-born Hopper began his career at Swindon Town before spells with Chippenham, Hungerford Town, Swindon Supermarine and Gloucester City before re-joining Hungerford in the summer of 2017. He also had a spell in Australia playing for South Melbourne.

He has made more than 220 senior appearances, scoring 111 goals, including 20 in National League North with Gloucester from 33 starts and 8 sub appearances.

He continued scoring goals for Hungerford before signing for the Whites in June 2018.

Chippenham manager Mark Collier told the club`s website: “Luke has been on our radar for a while now. He is a proven goalscorer and in fact has been top scorer in his past three seasons, one at Gloucester in the Conference North and the last two seasons at Salisbury.

“His desire to join us was obvious following our conversations, his quality will certainly add to our forward options”.
