Twenty-year-old
Alder enjoyed an outstanding 2018/19 season in the Uhlsport
Hellenic League Premier Division, helping Tuffley stave off the threat of
relegation.
He finished as top
scorer with 12 goals, taking the managers` and players' player of the year
awards.
Alder was previously
been on books of West Bromwich Albion and Cheltenham Town and his form for
Tuffley alerted the attention of several Southern League clubs but decided to move
to The Causeway for 2019/20.
Thomas
becomes the Foresters' second new signing of the summer.
Formerly with Kidlington, Shortwood United
and Slimbridge, he spent the majority of last season with Evesham.
On
the make-up of the current squad, Cinderford manager Paul Michael told the
club`s website: "We have been speaking to the lads over the last few weeks
and for many it was not a difficult sell because they enjoy each other's company,
they are a great group and they know that they have the potential to do better
this season than last. The good thing about this group is that 100% of these
players believe they can have a better season individually than they did last
and if each of them improves by just 1% then collectively we will have an
awesome season". |
