Several New Worthians
There will be some new faces at the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South club Highworth Town this coming season.

Prolific scorer Steve Robertson has joined from newly promoted Southern Division One Central side Wantage Town for another spell at the SaveOnTyres Stadium having previously appeared several years ago.

 

Robertson scored 22 goals for Wantage as they won promotion from the Uhlsport Hellenic League last season.

 

As well as Highworth, the striker has also featured for Shrivenham and Royal Wootton Bassett Town.

 

Moving with Robertson from the Alfredians is defender Dan Comer.

 

The right-back played in every one of Wantage`s games in 2018/19.

 

Forward Jacob Davidge, who played for Evesham United last term, has also moved to the Worthians.

 

Davidge joined Evesham in August 2018 from Cinderford Town.

 

He returned to the non-League circuit in May 2018 after a spell in Australia, and only joined the Foresters a month or so earlier.

 

The former Swindon Supermarine and Cirencester Town frontrunner scored 19 goals for Bishop’s Cleeve in 2017/18 before notching 15 times in as many matches for Brisbane Knights `down under`.

 

TJ Bohane who was dual registered with Highworth and Royal Wootton Bassett last season but will be returning to the Worthians on a more permanent basis.

 

The 31-year-old striker was part of the Worthians 2015 FA Vase semi-final team and numbers Swindon Supermarine, Wantage Town, Bracknell Town and Shortwood United amongst his other former clubs.

 

Many of last season's squad are returning once again, namely Connor Johns, Sam Morris, Leon Morrison, Ryan Morgan, Darren Jeffries, Edgi Embunga, Yeshaya Lomotey, Sean Wood, Jon Else, Chris Taylor and Jordan Roberts.
