The
24-year old joins the O’s having scored 12 times in 23 games for the Daggers
last term.
Wilkinson
initially joined Dagenham on loan from Gillingham in early November 2018, and
after an impressive spell, the sharpshooter signed permanently with the
Daggers.
The
former Republic of Ireland under-21 international started his career as a
youngster at Millwall, where he spent three years before signing for Bolton
Wanderers.
While at
the Trotters, the 6`3” forward started four times in the Championship.
He has
also spent time on a number of short loan deals during his career, including with
Oldham Athletic, Barnsley, where he won promotion through the play-offs to the
Championship and Chesterfield.
He has
featured several times for the Republic of Ireland’s youth teams at under-17,
19 and under-21 level.
In the
summer of 2017, he moved to the Gills on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee
and appeared 50 times in total, including seven League One games before he
signed for Dagenham and enjoyed his best scoring spell to date. |
