Mongoy spent the second half of last season with Bostik South East side Hastings United, where he netted a total of 17 goals and 10 assists.

The versatile forward can play as a striker, on the left wing or behind the striker in the number 10 role, giving the Rooks more options in their forward line.

Mongoy came through the youth ranks at Dagenham & Redbridge, before moving to Billericay Town.

He signed for Hastings in December 2018.

Manager Darren Freeman was pleased to have bolstered his forward line, after the post-season departures of Luke Blewden and Ben Pope, telling  https://www.lewesfc.com: "Jordy is young, only 20, but he's 6ft 2in, pacey and he can play in a number of positions across the top three," the manager said. "I feel we relied too much on certain players to get goals last season. It was important for us to bring in someone who can score in any of those positions".
