Heading
the trio is the vastly experienced Kevin Burgess, who is a robust, no-nonsense
defender who brings a wealth of experience from a higher level.
His career
was with Middlesbrough and since leaving the Riverside in 2007 he has played
for and captained Darlington FC, Whitby Town and most recently Scarborough
Athletic.
In his
second spell Darlington he was part of the team which won promotion from the
NPL in 2015/16 and made 77 appearances for the Quakers as well as returning on
loan to Whitby.
He joins
Marske after a season with NPL Premier Division side Scarborough Athletic.
Matthew
Garbutt joins Marske from former Ebac Northern League First Division rivals
Stockton Town.
He joined
Stockton during the 2013/14 season from Billingham Town and made a huge
contribution to the club`s success in recent years with over 200 appearances.
He
converted from an attacking midfielder into a right-back to help out during
2015/16 season and proved how versatile he was ending up with the managers` and
supporters` player of the year awards.
An FA
Vase finalist with Stockton in 2018, he was also with Norton & Stockton Ancients.
The third
arrival is pacey midfielder Lewis Maloney from Vanarama National League North side
Gateshead.
The
former Middlesbrough youngster made an appearance for Boro in the EFL Cup.
He left
the Riverside for Gateshead in July 2018. |
