Wright has signed 6`9” goalkeeper Sam Lomax who was recently released by Premier League new boys Aston Villa.

The Stratford boss knows Lomax well from his time at Nuneaton Borough where the young keeper progressed through the club`s academy.

In February 2018 Boro sold 18-year-old Lomax to now-SkyBet Championship side Barnsley after he had been trailed by a number of Football League clubs.

However, things didn`t work out for him at Oakwell and he was released from his short-term deal in May.

He trialled with Villa in the summer of 2018 and signed forms to become a member of their under-23 squad.

Meanwhile, defenders Tom Fishwick and Cody Fisher have put pen-to-paper to stay on for 2019/20.
