first signings of the summer with the arrival of Jake Lee and the return of Liam
Monelle.
Lee,
a striker, arrives from Weston-super-Mare, who are now league rivals, having
been two divisions higher this time last year before suffering relegation from
the Vanarama National League South.
Versatile
27-year-old Lee has previously played for Shortwood United, Bishops Cleeve and
Cheltenham Town before joining the Seagulls in July 2017.
Monelle,
who can play in midfield and up front, re-joins the club from Paulton Rovers.
Monelle
has established himself as a no-nonsense full of energy attacking player in the
Southern League.
His
first taste of Southern League football came with Mangotsfield United in 2012.
His
form with the Mangos led to a move to Bristol City a year later.
He
had loan spells with Weston and Paulton whilst with the Robins and after being
released from Ashton Gate, has seen service with Mangotsfield again, Yate,
Frome Town and a third spell with the Mangos before returning to Paulton at the
beginning of the 2017/18 season. |
