Daggers Swoop for Grant

Dagenham & Redbridge have announced the signing of Reece Grant from reprieved Vanarama National League rivals Aldershot Town for an undisclosed fee.

Grant made 36 appearances for the Shots last season, scoring 11 goals with an impressive record on average of a goal every two matches last season.

The 24-year-old helped Braintree Town to promotion in the previous season, scoring 14 times in 34 games as the Iron joined the Daggers in the National League.

Grant has signed a two-year contract with the club.

The forward played for Daggers coach Jody Brown when he was manager at Heybridge Swifts in the 2016/17 season, where he bagged 26 goals to help his team avoid relegation from the Bostik North.

He has also enjoyed spells at Wealdstone and Northwood earlier in his career.
