Muir enjoyed an impressive spell on loan at Shawbridge around Christmas last season.

And the 19-year-old has now agreed a permanent move to Clitheroe after deciding to leave NPL Premier Division side Lancaster City.

Muir had been offered a new deal by the Dolly Blues, for whom he made a handful of first team appearances last season.

But he has opted to join former Lancaster boss Phil Brown at Clitheroe.

Brown told http://www.clitheroefc.co.uk: “Olly has developed well over the last couple of seasons.

“It’s important that he now builds on that development and getting more minutes under his belt is key to that.

“As a left-footer he will add balance to the defending unit and increase our defensive options.

“He did well on loan here last season and I’m sure he’ll do well now he’s back permanently. I’m looking forward to working with him again”.
