A tall,
strong defender, Bailey-Dennis recently left league rivals Aveley after joining
them for the 2018/19 season.
He previously
played for Chelmsford City, Hemel Hempstead, Bishop`s Stortford and a lengthy
spell at Braintree Town.
Manager
Mark Morsley told https://www.afcsudbury.co.uk: “Adam is so much the sort of
player I have been looking for to add to my squad this season. He not only
brings a massive presence to both the team and the dressing room, he has played
at a high level, and will be a great influence on our young defenders Baris
Altintop and Joe Grimwood. As with our other major summer signing, Sean Marks,
he has committed to us for two-years and has totally bought into the AFC
journey.”
Meanwhile,
striker Paul Hayes, who joined Sudbury in the summer of 2018 after making 632
Football League appearances, scoring 148 goals, mostly for Scunthorpe United
and Wycombe Wanderers, will be leaving the club.
Hayes has
been given the opportunity to further his career as a players agent and both
parties feel this is the right move for him at this stage of his life.
Morsley added:
“It has been a complete pleasure to have worked with Paul since he joined the
club. His influence and pro attitude has done wonders for all in the first team
squad particularly with the younger players. I have no doubt he will be a
success in his new developing career”.
