His decision was taken owing to work constraints and the club has already begun the search for a new manager to take on the side that finished last season in a creditable mid table spot in their first season back in Hellenic football.
The intention had been to recruit from within and appoint reserve team manager Arthur Morris, but he too is in the throes of major lifestyle and career changes that look set to result in him emigrating with his family to the United States.
Chairman Simon Cowlard is already in discussion with potential candidates, telling the club`s website: "Although we are naturally sorry that both Duncan and Arthur have had to relinquish their duties this does potentially represent a massive opportunity for the right candidates. The first-team are now established in the division afrter solid season and we are hoping to build on that with the nucleus of last season's squad who performed so well, while we are also intending to enter our reserve team in Hellenic Division Two, so I'd imagine both jobs hold quite a lot of appeal. It potentially gives someone the opportunity to come in with an entire management/coaching team and structure the playing side of things across the whole senior side of the club". |
