Soares joined Hampton`s league rivals Slough Town in the summer of 2018 from another National League South side, Hungerford Town.

He started his career at Reading before a spell at Barnet. He then moved to Aldershot Town and made almost 150 appearances for the Hampshire side over four years.

After spells at Southend United and Hayes & Yeading United, he joined Grimsby Town before moving back into the non-League game, with significant spells at Basingstoke Town and Hungerford.

Soares was called up by Barbados for the 2007 Caribbean Nations Cup tournament whilst at Aldershot and gained his first cap when he played against Trinidad & Tobago.

The 34-year-old will bring a wealth of much-needed experience to the centre of the pitch for the Beavers.
