Laird enjoyed seven seasons playing for Weston-super-Mare before playing for Paulton last season.

Laird said: "I am excited about returning to Bridgwater next season as it is a club I can see is going only in one direction.

"After the success the club had last season and with the new players on board, it's going to be another positive season for Bridgwater and one I'm really excited to be part of.

"The fans are starting to return to the club after a couple seasons of stability and it now feels like it's time to push on.

"I have little doubt that attendances will continue to rise this coming season and get back to and beyond the numbers of ten years ago".
