Roddy Moves to Eastbourne
Southern Combination League Premier Division club Eastbourne United AFC have announced the signing of experienced defender Sean Roddy.

The 6`3” Irishman joins from Bostik League South East side Haywards Heath Town, for whom he made 32 appearances last season, scoring 2 goals.

 

The 33-year-old had joined Heath in the summer of 2018 from Shoreham.

 

He started his playing days in Ireland with Derry City and moved to Finn Harps at the start of the 2007 season.

 

He made 36 appearances over the next season and a half before signing for Institute FC in July of 2008.

 

He spent one season at Institute, scoring 3 goals in 27 league appearances before returning to Finn Harps in September 2009.

 

He made 8 league appearances in the final months of 2009 before joining Ulster Senior League side Killea FC in 2010.

 

In August 2011 he signed for a second spell at Institute and then came over to England and had spells with Whitehawk and Shoreham.
