Preston
joins Boro from Southern Division One Central outfit Sutton Coldfield Town, who
he re-joined in March 2019 from Stratford Town.
He began
his career in Birmingham City’s academy and was part of the Blues squad that
reached the FA Youth Cup semi-finals in 2008/09, before two spells on loan at
Hereford United in 2010 and 2011.
A
permanent transfer to AFC Telford United followed in the summer of 2011, where
he was a regular member of the side over the next two seasons.
However,
after losing his place early in the 2013/14 season he spent a month on loan at
Barrow AFC, and then a further month with Stourbridge before returning to
Telford and collecting a championship medal at the end of that season as the
Bucks won the National League North title 12 months after relegation from the
top flight.
He joined
Tamworth in the summer of 2014 and spent two seasons with the Lambs, where he
established himself in the National League North before returning to Telford in
the summer of 2016.
However,
with game time limited, he had loan stints with Sutton Coldfield, Leamington
and Hednesford Town before moving to Hereford FC in August 2017.
In
January 2018 he switched to Bromsgrove Sporting and then joined Stratford in
December 2018. |
