Hobson
originally joined Stalybridge from Kendal Town in September 2009, scoring his
first goal for the club 11 days later in a 5-3 away victory at Alfreton Town,
who he would then go on to play for.
During
the 2011/12 season, he netted 16 times for Stalybridge and was rewarded with a
move to Stockport County in 2012.
He scored
6 goals in 26 appearances for County before leaving in 2013 to join Guiseley
AFC.
He then
had a two-year spell at Chester FC and since then has played for Altrincham,
Aberystwyth Town, Alfreton and Ashton.
Hobson
was also a former youth team player at Sheffield United before moving to Kendal,
where he scored 26 goals during the 2008/09 season.
