Firstly, forward Andy Watkins has committed himself to the club for another season and will be commencing his seventh season with the Romans and looking to pass 250 appearances and add to his 51-goal tally.

Gill has also signed 20-year-old Matt Bower, a 6`5” left-sided centre-half, who was recently released by SkyBet League Two neighbours Cheltenham Town and gained experience at National League South with Weston-super-mare last season.

A product of the academy system at Cheltenham, Bower made his Football League debut away at Carlisle United in August 2017 and made two other senior appearances.

As well as his spell at the Woodspring Stadium, Bower was also loaned out to Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South outfit Cirencester Town in March 2016 where he played 10 times.
