Seventeen-year-old Webb made 17 first team appearances last season, picking up several clean sheets as well as producing some superb performances in the Martyrs campaign.
Webb`s displays at club level for the Martyrs quickly attracted the attention of Wales which has led him onto receiving several call-ups to the national under-18 and under-19 squads.
Since then the academy product has become a Welsh Schools international.
Speaking on Webb`s departure, Merthyr manager Gavin Williams told https://www.merthyrtownfc.co.uk: “I would like to wish Webby all the best in his career. He has been an absolute pleasure to work with. The commitment and dedication he has shown since coming into the first team squad to cover us has been absolutely tremendous and I can’t speak highly enough of him.”
The loss of Webb was cushioned somewhat by the re-signing of goalkeeper Cameron Clarke.
The 22-year-old joins from FAW Championship side Pontypridd Town FC.
The former Welsh under-17 and under-19 international made over 19 first team appearances before departing Merthyr back in January 2018.
Clarke arrives at the Met Coaches Stadium with a great wealth of experience after featuring for Cardiff City as a 16-year-old before spells at Hereford United, Cinderford Town and Bristol Rovers.
