McDonnell, 22, initially joined Aldershot on loan from Ipswich Town – for whom he made 5 first-team appearances – in September 2017, before signing a permanent deal with the Shots in January 2018 after he was released by the Tractor Boys.

Born in Dunboyne, near Dublin, the former Republic of Ireland under-19 international graduated from the schoolboy section of League of Ireland side Shelbourne before joining Ipswich in August 2014, and then signed a new two-year contract at Portman Road in July 2016.

Attacking midfielder Mingoia, 27, joins the club with a wealth of experience having accumulated over 200 appearances in the Football League for the likes of Watford, Cambridge United, Morecambe and Accrington.

The diminutive Mingoia returns to Meadow Park having played 9 times for the club whilst on loan from Watford back in 2013.

He spent the back end of the 2018/19 campaign on loan at League Two side Morecambe, making 16 appearances.
