Robert played a key role for the Tigers on loan last season and his contribution was recognised by the league, with him picking up several awards at the end of the season and being named in the team of year.

The 30-year-old scored 10 goals in 23 games for Gloucester last season as they survived relegation in National League South.

The French player was released by SkyBet League Two side Forest Green Rovers at the end of the 2018/19 season, having joined in August 2016 on a three-year deal from Swindon Town.

A former France under-20 international, he previously played in the French top-flight for FC Lorient and also had a spell at Doncaster Rovers.
