The 34-year-old began his career with Cambridge United, going on to make over 200 appearances for United, Notts County and Luton Town in the Football League and Conference (National League), also appearing for England C, before having spells with Lowestoft Town, Histon, St Neots Town and Soham Town Rangers whilst also managing Cambridge City at the start of the 2016/17 season.

He will add valuable experience in supporting the development of Boro`s promising young players at the club.

Manager Guy Habbin told his club`s website: "I am delighted to have been able to bring someone of Dan's experience into the club. The opportunity for our younger lads to be around someone who has professional experience will be pivotal to their development and of course the changing room".
