Ben
Mendoza and Mason Doughty have both been signed by manager Adam Hinshelwood after
impressing on trial with the Rebels.
Twenty-two-year-old
Mendoza returns to his Sussex roots where he grew up in Chichester after being on
a football scholarship in the USA at the University of Rio Grande.
Mendoza
can play on the wing or through the middle of the pitch and won the Isthmian Under-18
League with Bognor Regis Town before departing for the States and was one of
only five players to be placed on The River States Conference Men’s Soccer
Scholar-Athlete team last year.
Twenty-year-old
Doughty spent some time at Southern Combination League side Broadbridge Heath Isthmian
South East outfit Three Bridges and Combined Counties Leaguers Redhill most
recently.
He
scored his first goal for Bridges against play-off finalists Ashford United in
October 2018 and netted twice in their last ever game at the Leisure Centre
Ground. He also notched on debut for Redhill.
He
can be deployed out wide or as a striker. |
