The striker previously had a short spell at Julius Martin Lane at the beginning of the 2017 season after arriving from Histon, where he progressed through the Stutes youth set-up.

However, after scoring 5 goals in 11 appearances left to join Godmanchester.

Meanwhile, Lloyd Groves has announced he is staying at Soham for the new season after agreeing to take up a new player-coach role supporting Rob Mason and Erkan Okay.

The defender returned to Julius Martin Lane early last season from St Ives Town having previously been at the club during the 2016/17 campaign, which he finished as player-assistant to Mason following his appointment as manager.

Groves also helped the club avoid relegation on the final day of that season, scoring twice in the home win against Maldon & Tiptree to secure their survival, before leaving to join Thurlow Nunn League neighbours Newmarket Town during the summer.

Four members of last season’s squad have left Soham.

Lewis Endacott has returned to his previous club Royston Town, where he will take over as manager of the Southern League Premier Division Central club`s reserve side.

The former club captain joined the Greens in October 2016 from Welwyn Garden City, scoring 6 goals in 88 appearances.

Ally Conway has joined Godmanchester.

The attacker signed for Soham at the beginning of the 2017 season from neighbours Newmarket, scoring twice in 54 games.

Alfie Connor has signed for Southern League Central St Neots Town.

The midfielder arrived at the club in September 2017 from Kettering Town, scoring twice in 53 appearances.

And finally, Mark Lovell has joined Newmarket.

The striker arrived at the club towards the end of the season from Haverhill Rovers, scoring once in his 7 appearances.
