Manager Paul Wotton has said he is, “absolutely thrilled” that Yetton has signed, despite being announced as having re-signed for new league rivals Tiverton Town earlier this summer.

Yetton is a club legend at Treyew Road, having scored a record 219 goals in more than 300 appearances for the White Tigers.

The vastly experienced striker re-joined Tiverton from Toolstation Western League side Plymouth Parkway midway through last season after making 30 appearances and scoring 10 goals back in 2005.

He started out with home-town club Plymouth Argyle, for whom he made a handful of first team appearances as well as spending time on loan with Weymouth.

His first spell with Tivvy followed his release by Argyle and then he moved to Truro in late 2005 and went eventually left Treyew Road in May 2013 and scored 65 times in 131 matches and also had an 11-game spell back at Truro on loan before re-joining the Cornish side in 2017.

He left to help Parkway to promotion to the Western League before returning to Tivvy.

Wotton told http://www.trurocityfc.net: “I am thrilled with the signing of Yetts,” he said. “He’s obviously a total legend at Truro. His knowledge of the league and the players will be invaluable to me going forward. He sets the right example in training, is very, very fit and is one of the best centre forwards at this level.

“More importantly,” added Wotton, “he has been a trusted friend for over 20 years and I can’t wait for us to start working together.”
