He
will support the club in advising and developing a number of strategies to
further the club`s potential both on and off the field.
City’s
vice-chairman John McGowan told https://www.stalbanscityfc.com: “I was so
impressed when I first met Ian and knew that he was the right man for our club,
and I have not been disappointed with what he has done with ourselves since
becoming manager. With Ian’s 30 years of experience in the game it was an easy
decision to ask Ian to support in the next stage of the club’s development.”
Having
played in over 500 games, and with some of the top clubs in the county
including FA Cup and League Cup semi-finals, Allinson has enjoyed a successful
career in football management for almost 30 years at all levels of the non-League
system.
Allinson
said: “I’m very privileged and honoured to be here at St Albans City and I’ll
give my all to improve the commercial basis of the club and make the supporters
proud of this great club. Together, we’ll be stronger and I’m looking forward
to working with the players, staff, supporters, businesses and the people of
the city of St Albans to make the right steps forward”. |
