He will support the club in advising and developing a number of strategies to further the club`s potential both on and off the field.

City’s vice-chairman John McGowan told https://www.stalbanscityfc.com: “I was so impressed when I first met Ian and knew that he was the right man for our club, and I have not been disappointed with what he has done with ourselves since becoming manager. With Ian’s 30 years of experience in the game it was an easy decision to ask Ian to support in the next stage of the club’s development.”

Having played in over 500 games, and with some of the top clubs in the county including FA Cup and League Cup semi-finals, Allinson has enjoyed a successful career in football management for almost 30 years at all levels of the non-League system.

Allinson said: “I’m very privileged and honoured to be here at St Albans City and I’ll give my all to improve the commercial basis of the club and make the supporters proud of this great club. Together, we’ll be stronger and I’m looking forward to working with the players, staff, supporters, businesses and the people of the city of St Albans to make the right steps forward”.
