The
striker has moved north for an undisclosed fee, although he has to work his
notice as a Learning Mentor and PE teacher at a primary school in Newark,
Nottinghamshire.
Bishop
scored 21 goals for the Brakes in 2018/19.
Having
seen his debut season at Leamington cruelly cut short by an ACL injury suffered
in a match against Brackley Town on Boxing Day 2017 just when he had found his
goalscoring stride, the striker made a spectacular return after 10 months on
the sidelines and finished the season with an astonishing 29 goals in 36 games,
despite missing the first 14 games of the season.
He
signed for Leamington in the summer of 2017 having ended the previous season
with Boston United, who he joined after starting the season with Worcester
City.
He
began his career at Notts County, coming through the youth system before being
handed a contract by then manager Shaun Derry in November 2014, making his
debut on Boxing Day the following month at MK Dons.
He
also spent a spell on loan at Gloucester City towards the end of his time at
Meadow Lane. |
