The
former Gorleston, Wroxham, Chelmsford City and Lowestoft Town striker takes up
the role vacated by Mark Willis, who left the Royals last month to take up a
coaching position in Dubai.
Matty
Lay, who played a valuable role in the first team management structure last
season, will continue in a similar position, whilst Rob Moore has been promoted
to first team coach from the reserves.
Three
other new additions see Robert McKechnie join the club to assist both first
team and reserves on match days and with coaching, Ian Barber will be taking on
the goalkeeping coaching role with Darren Moore helping with coaching and
scouting.
Kirkley
chairman Paul Underdown believes McGee's knowledge of Step 5 football will
stand the club in good stead.
He told
the club`s website: "Gary sprung to mind straight away when we learned
Mark was leaving and we are really happy with his experience of the level we
play at.
"He
will bring a wealth of experience and we are really happy to have him on board.
The club would like to thank Mark Willis for all his hard work, and we wish him
well out in Dubai". |
