The
32-year-old has spent pre-season in training with Pools and has been one of the
stand-out performers in the five friendlies to date.
Kennedy
began his career with Middlesbrough where he emerged from the academy to play a
handful of games in the Premier League before establishing himself as one of
the most sought-after midfielders in the lower divisions.
A
loan move to Darlington in 2008 was turned permanent and he played over 50
games for the Quakers before securing a move to Rochdale where he made another
200 appearances.
Kennedy’s
next destination was Bradford City where he spent a couple of seasons before
putting down some roots in Carlisle United in 2015.
He
became a fans’ favourite in Cumbria and made more than 100 appearances before
his departure at the end of last term. |
