A
Portuguese citizen who was born in Angola, Correia has played for the Port up
front during pre-season, impressing manager Liam Watson in the friendly games.
The
26-year-old, who moved to England at a young age, is a strong centre forward.
He
earned his move to SkyBet League One side Blackpool in January 2017 on the back
of scoring 11 goals in 22 games in a second spell with BetVictor Northern
Premier League side Radcliffe Borough, having returned from Chorley.
He
signed an 18-month contract at Bloomfield Road and whilst at Blackpool, he had
loan periods in the National League with Guiseley AFC and York City before
securing a move to Barrow AFC last summer.
Watson
has also signed promising young winger Connor Woods.
Woods
started out at Hallmark Security League side St Helens Town before progressing
through the youth set-up at then-NPL side Skelmersdale United.
The
21-year-old moves into senior football for the first time and has caught the
eye for Watson’s side during pre-season with a number of creative, energetic
performances.
