Matsuzaka, who will be 22 next month, finished last season as part of the Braintree Town side that made a spirited effort to avoid relegation from the National League, having started his career at Southend and had a loan spell with Harlow Town and a brief period with Kataller Toyama in the Japanese J3 league.

He has played twice for the Japanese under-19 side.

Twenty-one-year-old Tuson-Firth played for Australian club Manly before returning to the UK last season and having spells with Aldershot Town, Salisbury, Lewes and Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier side AFC Portchester.

Gray told https://www.suttonunited.net: “Both Dan and George have impressed in the pre-season games, and with both being versatile and able to play in several positions they are great acquisitions to the squad. They are both great characters with the desire to get into the team and help move us forward, and I’m delighted to have them on board”.
