hosts with Kayden Jackson finding the net for the Tractor Boys in the second

Billy
Sharp scored a hat-trick in a 5-0 win for Premier League newcomers Sheffield
United at the Proact Stadium against Chesterfield in front of a bumper crowd of
6,270.
Callum
Robinson and Luke Freeman rounded off the scoring for a virtually full-strength
Blades.
Aldershot
Town enjoyed a good 4-0 win against a youthful League One Portsmouth side.
The game
looked to be heading for a draw before the Shots struck four late goals.
Shamir
Mullings opened the scoring with just 10 minutes remaining and then the
floodgates opened.
Alfy
Whittingham doubled the lead, with Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong and Sam Chislett
adding further goals.
Dagenham
& Redbridge earned a late draw at the Gallagher Stadium against relegated
and now National League South side Maidstone United.
The
Stones took the lead with just 12 minutes gone, Nana Kyei was tripped by Liam
Gordon and Kyei got up to send the penalty over the diving Elliot Justham and
into the net.
Maidstone
boss John Still`s former club finally equalised 4 minutes from time when Joan
Luque dispatched a confident finish past the stranded Jake Cole.
New
signing Rhys Murphy turned in a match-winning display in relegated Yeovil
Town's 2-0 victory at the Viridor Stadium against BetVictor Southern League
Premier Division South side Taunton Town.
Murphy,
snapped up from Chelmsford City in June, scored both Yeovil's goals a minute
into the second half and then on 68 minutes in front of a crowd of just under
700.
Another
new signing, Danny Whitehall, hit a free-kick winner from 20 yards to give
Maidenhead United a 1-0 win at York Road against League Two Stevenage.
There was
a 0-0 draw at the Sportnation.bet Stadium between Solihull Moors and League One
Burton Albion.
Bromley
fell to their first defeat of pre-season at Princes Park against National
League South side Dartford.
Jack
Holland gave Bromley the lead but the Darts levelled through Jordan Wynter.
The hosts
added two more in the second half, the first being a screamer when a corner was
not cleared by Bromley and Cameron Broadie fired home from 25 yards.
And on 70
minutes, Dartford made it three when Andy Pugh got onto the end of a low cross
and struck home from six yards.
A first
half penalty from relegated Gateshead striker Paul Blackett was enough as
Harrogate Town lost 1-0 at the International Stadium.
Blackett
had won the 24th minute spot-kick when he beat James Belshaw to a lobbed
through ball.
Newly
promoted Chorley went down to a 2-0 defeat at Victory Park to Premier League
Everton`s under-23s.
An own
goal from Chorley keeper Joe Anson and late strike from sub Manasse Mampala
earned the Toffees win.
Better
new, however, for one of the teams who came up with the Magpies, Torquay
United.
They beat
Championship side Swansea City`s under-23s 3-2 at Plainmoor.
First-half
goals from Asa Hall, Armani Little and Manny Duku put Gary Johnson’s side in
charge at the interval, only for the deficit to be cut twice in opening stages
of the second period through goals from Yan Dhanda and Liam Cullen.
Stockport
County, who came up with Chorley, beat former National League North rivals and
neighbours Altrincham at the J.Davidson Stadium.
Altrincham
took the lead in the 29th minutes through an own goal.
The
equalizer arrived 8 minutes through Connor Dimaio.
And
Stockport's winner came from to Elliot Osborne who hit a low shot from 18 yards
past Tony Thompson.
Not too
far away, FC United of Manchester, relegated back to the Northern Premier
League Premier Division, were beaten 4-1 at Broadhurst Park by AFC Fylde.
The
Coasters` goals came from, almost inevitably, Danny Rowe, Dan Bradley, former
FC United man Kurt Willoughby and Matty Kosylo
Craig
Carney netted FC United`s consolation.
Dover
Athletic sharded a 2-2 draw at Crabble against League One side Gillingham.
The
Whites` on target were Inih Effiong and Alfie Pavey, while Elliott List and
Brandon Hanlan replied.
Two
second half goals from Dylan Kearney gave Sutton United a comfortable 2-0
victory at Gander Green Lane against National League South neighbours Dulwich
Hamlet.
Barrow
AFC and Northern Premier League Premier Division Lancaster City shared an
entertaining 3-3 draw at the Giant Axe.
Lancaster’s
Brad Carsley proved to be a thorn in a much-changed Barrow AFC’s side as he
twice pegged the visitors back during an entertaining pre-season friendly at
the Giant Axe.
Trialists
Sam Graham and Jonny Ustabasi along with Ollie Greaves were the Bluebirds on
target, with Carsley bagging a brace along with one for Charlie Bailey for the
Dolly Blues.
National
League North teams…..
Chester
FC came from behind to take the Supporters Direct Shield honours with a 4-1
victory at Hallmark Security League Premier Division hosts 1874 Northwich.
The Blues
trailed 1-0 in the clash between two-fan-owned clubs after Sam Hare slotted
beyond Chester`s new keeper Russ Griffiths on 18 minutes.
Anthony
Dudley levelled with a penalty just before the interval after full-back Jamie
Morgan was brought down by Northwich keeper Tony Aghayere.
Chester
went ahead when as Simon Grand headed home Iwan Murray's 75th minute corner.
The
result was put beyond doubt 8 minutes later when some neat build-up play set up
Dudley, who bagged his second of the evening.
Dudley
turned provider late on when he evaded the home defence and set up new boy Danny
Elliott whose finish found the bottom corner.
Chester`s
league rivals weren`t able to match them with an early trophy as League Two
neighbours Bradford City took the Tom Banks Memorial Trophy.
The game
finished 0-0 at the Horsfall Stadium, but the Bantams won the penalty shoot-out
3-2.
Alfreton
Town went down to a 4-1 defeat at the Impact Arena to a strong League One
Scunthorpe United side.
Matthew
Lund struck a hat-trick for the Iron, who actually fell behind to after a
mistake from goalkeeper Jake Eastwood allowed Amari Morgan-Smith to score.
But Lund
equalised before half-time and then he added two more after Alex Gilliead had
given the Iron the lead.
Brackley
Town beat League Two neighbours Northampton Town 1-0 at St James`s Park.
The
Saints scored the only goal with just under 20 minutes to play, sub and new
signing Tendai Daire finishing from close range.
The
Cobblers were a shade unfortunate, however, as they hit the woodwork on three
occasions.
Boston
United and BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division neighbours
Grantham Town played out a goalless draw at The Meres.
Marcus
Dinanga and Aaron Williams both netted to help AFC Telford United to a 2-0
victory at the Don Amott Arena against Northern Premier League Premier Division

Ashton suffered a 4-1 defeat at Northern Premier League Division One North West

Banister gave the visitors a lead that Owen Marshall levelled.

United, relegated to the Northern Premier League Premier Division, shared a 2-2
draw with League Two neighbours Oldham Athletic at Hurst Cross.
A
trialist bagged both of Oldham`s goals from being two-down, with the hosts
taking the lead in the 11th minute through Callum Dolan and extending their
lead on the hour-mark through Ryan Crowther.
Isthmian
League Premier Division club Corinthian-Casuals went down to a 2-1 defeat
against Premier League Crystal Palace`s mostly under-23 side.
Palace
took a 12th minute lead with a daisy cutter from former club captain, Jason
Puncheon.
On 31
minutes, Casuals levelled with what appeared to be an own goal.
The
winner came in the dying minutes, thanks to Kian Flanagan.
League
Two new boys Leyton Orient let a three-goal lead slip at BetVictor Isthmian
Premier Division side Bishop`s Stortford, drawing 3-3.
Two goals
from Lee Angol either side of a Jordan Maguire-Drew penalty had Orient in
control at the break, but second half efforts from Luke Callander, veteran
joint boss Jamie Cureton and Aaron Greene pulled the home side level.
Southern
League Premier South club Gosport Borough won 3-0 at Sydenhams Football League
(Wessex) Premier side Fareham Town.
Liam
Robinson bagged a brace for Boro after Theo Lewis had opened the scoring on 20
minutes.
Gosport`s
league rivals Dorchester Town were held to a 2-2 draw by another Wessex League
outfit, Portland United at Grove Corner.
