Experienced Burgin Joins Retford
Toolstation Northern Counties East League Division One club Retford FC have completed the signing of experienced central defender Tom Burgin.

Burgin, 29, has previous experience at Rotherham United Youth before a spell playing in the Swedish second division.

 

He then has played more recently for the likes of Matlock Town, Worksop Town, Sheffield FC, Heanor Town, Mickleover Sports, Frickley Athletic and Coalville Town.

 

However, he joins Retford from Swedish side Sollefteå GIF FF.

 

Manager Chris Woodhead told the club`s website: “It’s been a player we have needed going into the NCEL. He’s experienced and has a presence. He knows quite a lot of the lads as well which always helps, and he will settle straight in”.
