Goalkeeper Laurence Whymark joins the Dragons from BetVictor Isthmian League Premier Division newcomers Bowers & Pitsea.

He has also played at Heybridge Swifts, Halstead Town, Stansted and Billericay Town.

Defenders Matt Coppen, Dan Williams and Harry Gregory have also checked into Broad Lane.

Coppen is a central defender who is well known to the Dragons management team.

His former teams include Heybridge Swifts, Burnham Ramblers and more recently Halstead Town.

Williams is a solid right back who is versatile enough to play in other positions.

He is returning from a long-term injury having previously played a lot of university football for University of East Anglia.

Gregory is a former Southend United and Dagenham & Redbridge trainee.

Brandon Bennett, Joe Stedman and Jack Mead are all new midfielders with Wivenhoe.

Bennett is a young central midfielder who is a good prospect.

A very intelligent and technical midfield player who has spent time at the academies of Tottenham Hotspur and Millwall.

Stedman is a quick winger who has bags of pace and is capable of delivering a great ball into the box. He has experience with Chelmsford City.

Mead joins from Essex Senior League side Saffron Waldon Town.

He was an ever-present in the Bloods first team last season.

Tom Lakin is a forward who also played his football at Saffron Walden for the last two seasons.

A quick striker who is good in the air, he was previously with Stansted.
