Goalkeeper
Laurence Whymark joins the Dragons from BetVictor Isthmian League Premier
Division newcomers Bowers & Pitsea.
He has
also played at Heybridge Swifts, Halstead Town, Stansted and Billericay Town.
Defenders
Matt Coppen, Dan Williams and Harry Gregory have also checked into Broad Lane.
Coppen is
a central defender who is well known to the Dragons management team.
His
former teams include Heybridge Swifts, Burnham Ramblers and more recently
Halstead Town.
Williams is
a solid right back who is versatile enough to play in other positions.
He is
returning from a long-term injury having previously played a lot of university football
for University of East Anglia.
Gregory is
a former Southend United and Dagenham & Redbridge trainee.
Brandon
Bennett, Joe Stedman and Jack Mead are all new midfielders with Wivenhoe.
Bennett
is a young central midfielder who is a good prospect.
A very
intelligent and technical midfield player who has spent time at the academies
of Tottenham Hotspur and Millwall.
Stedman is
a quick winger who has bags of pace and is capable of delivering a great ball
into the box. He has experience with Chelmsford City.
Mead joins
from Essex Senior League side Saffron Waldon Town.
He was an
ever-present in the Bloods first team last season.
Tom Lakin
is a forward who also played his football at Saffron Walden for the last two
seasons.
A quick
striker who is good in the air, he was previously with Stansted. |
