The 21-year-old came through the ranks at Gillingham, who he joined at the age of 9.

He represented Kent Schools in 2008 and 2009 and was awarded his first professional contract at Priestfield in 2016.

After his first year with Gills as a professional, during which time he had a loan spell at Chatham Town, Newcombe joined Wycombe Wanderers and, whilst there, enjoyed a successful loan spell at Canvey Island.

He then signed for Invicta`s league rivals Margate last season before moving on to Isthmian South East neighbours Hythe Town.

Manager Neil Cugley told http://www.folkestoneinvictafc.co.uk: “Henry has played well against us in the last two pre-season games and I’m delighted to have signed him, as he provides competition for the goalkeeping spot. I’m sure Tim Roberts and he will work well together and learn things off each other. We needed cover as young goalkeeper Joe Coleman looks like he will be moving away from the area to continue his education”.
