Curran penned his first professional contract with the club in the summer and will be joining Buckley in the BetVictor Northern Premier League South East Division.

He arrived at Blundell Park in 2017 after being released by Doncaster Rovers, and has impressed as part of the under-18 side over the past couple of years, particularly in the youth team’s title win last season.

The midfielder featured in three of Grimsby’s pre-season games this summer against Cleethorpes Town, Grantham Town and Boston United.

Curran was offered his first professional contract by Grimsby at the end of last season and had been linked to a move to Championship side Nottingham Forest earlier this summer.

His father Terry made 48 appearances for Forest, helping the club to promotion to the top-flight under Brian Clough during the 1970s.
