The 37-year-old spent the latter part of last season with Toolstation Western League Premier Division side Buckland Athletic as a player.

Todd left Gloucester earlier in January 2019 after just three months in charge, having been appointed manager on an 18-month contract.

He started his playing career as a trainee with Swansea City, making 46 appearances for the club before being released.

A short stint with Drogheda in Ireland followed before he signed for Exeter City where he played his most football with 154 appearances in 4 years, and later Torquay United and Newport County.

Despite spending two years with Forest Green Rovers, Todd only appeared for the club twice before dropping down the leagues and ending up at Truro City, where he initially hung up his boots.
