Egan,
20, came through SkyBet League Two club Carlisle United's youth ranks and was
handed his first professional deal at the end of the 2016/17 season.
He
made his debut for the club at the Stadium of Light the 2017/18 season when
United faced Sunderland in the Checkatrade Trophy group stages.
In
2017 and 2018 he had loan spells in the NPL with Workington AFC and Clitheroe.
He
was handed a second short-term contract by Carlisle ahead of the following
campaign, which was further extended in January 2019, and had been a regular in
the first team squad and on the bench before agreeing to mutually terminate his
contract in February 2019.
The
following month he signed for Colls` new league rivals Witton Albion, where he ended
last season.
