Rooks Sign Ex-Manchester United Starlet

Darren Freeman, manager of BetVictor Isthmian League Premier Division club Lewes, has added two youngsters to his squad ahead of Saturday's opening game of the 2019/20 season against Enfield Town.

Midfielder Kayne Diedrick-Roberts has Premier League pedigree, having come through the youth ranks at Fulham and Manchester United, where he played alongside Marcus Rashford.

Diedrick-Roberts represented United at under-18 and under-23 levels and gained a great deal during his time at Old Trafford.

More recently he has been turning out for Greenwich Borough, who were relegated from the Isthmian League South East at the end of last season.

Full-back Jason Dawson has signed having impressed the Rooks` management with a string of pre-season performances in the right-back berth.

Dawson was spotted playing for Loxwood in the Southern Combination League, where he was playing for former Lewes under-18 manager Alex Walsh.

He joined Loxwood from Montpelier Villa in November 2018.
