Deverdics Returns to Gateshead After 13 Year Gap
Vanarama National League North club Gateshead have brought midfielder Nicky Deverdics back to the International Stadium on a one-year deal – 13 years since he left the Heed.

He spent a brief period with Gateshead in 2006 following his release from Newcastle United, scoring once in 15 appearances.

 

He left for Ebac Northern League sides Bedlington Terriers and Gretna before making 51 appearances in the Football League for Barnet, scoring 2 goals between 2008 and 2010.

 

He returned north to join joining Blyth Spartans in 2010 and played 46 times before playing in Iceland for Vestri and in the Faroe Islands for Tvoroyrar Boltfelag before returning to the England and going on to make over 100 appearances for Dover Athletic and 57 for Hartlepool United, before spending the past two seasons with Wrexham, totalling 24 games and 2 goals.
