The
27-year-old was due to be out of contract next summer but has now extended his
stay at the SportNation.bet Stadium until June 2022.
Osborne
is in his second spell with the club after initially joining from Redditch
United in 2016.
He
previously departed to play in the Football League with Grimsby Town, where he
made 21 appearances but returned midway through the 2017/18 season.
A
firm-favourite with the Solihull supporters, Osborne’s flair and creativity in
the attacking third of the field has made him a key cog in Tim Flowers’ side.
He
is due to make his 100th appearance against Aldershot Town tomorrow.
In
his previous 99 outings for the Moors, Osborne has scored 16 goals – 2 of which
came in Tuesday’s 3-0 victory at home to Torquay United.
Osborne
told http://www.solihullmoorsfc.co.uk:
“I’m delighted. I wanted to do it sooner rather than later.
“It’s
something that we first spoke about last season, but we put it to one side, and
we spoke about it in the summer.
“It’s
unbelievable where the club was 18 months ago to now. The club’s only going one
way and I think that’s a massive thing as to why I wanted to commit myself to
the club for another few years.”
Flowers
said: “We’re delighted to have secured Jamey’s signature for the next two years
after this one.
“He’s
been an integral part of the team and I consider him to be one of the best
footballers in the National League.
“He’s
an outstanding player but also a great person to have around. He’s the type of
person we want around the club and to build a team around”. |
