Neil Champelovier has joined to work alongside manager Andy Peaks.

A midfielder in his playing days, the 36-year-old started his career with Northampton Town before joining Oklahoma City Stars in the USA on his release.

He went on to have spells with the likes of Brackley Town, Banbury United, Oxford City, Aylesbury United, Cogenhoe United, Daventry Town and Woodford United.

He was assistant-manager at Cogenhoe as well as in two spells at Daventry.

Peaks told http://www.afcdiamonds.com: “I have been speaking with Neil for the past few weeks, he has come and watched some of our pre-season games and has some great ideas, I am sure he will be able to take on the great work that Lamby did on the training pitch and I look forward to working with him for the season ahead”.
