Edser, 20, has signed on loan until January 2020 from SkyBet Championship side Nottingham Forest.

He was integral in the Cards' fantastic run in the Emirates FA Cup run last season after joining from Forest in October 2018 until January 2019.

After returning to the City Ground, the 20-year-old was sent out on loan again, this time to League Two side Port Vale until the end of the 2018/19 season.

Edser joined Forest from Charlton Athletic in July 2015 and he has since gone on to make quite an impression.

A talented playmaker with a strong technical ability, he was a key component in the under-18 side which won the league and reached the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup in the 2015/16 season.

He arrived at the club with a good pedigree having played for both Fulham and Charlton.
