Thirty-one-year-old Paul Marshall has put pen-to-paper after it had been originally announced that he had signed for NPL Premier Division side Buxton from Vanarama National League North outfit Curzon Ashton.

But Manchester native has decided to stay on Tameside by joining the Lilywhites instead.

He started out with Manchester City, making 15 appearances in the Football League for Blackpool and Port Vale and 9 for Scottish Premier side Aberdeen whilst on loan.

He was released by City in 2010 and joined Walsall, for whom he appeared 18 times.

After short stints at Rochdale and Droylsden, he joined Port Vale in 2012 and played 15 times for the Valiants.

Spells with FC Halifax Town, Stockport County, Bradford Park Avenue and Alfreton Town followed before the three-times capped England under-20 international signed for Curzon in May 2017, also turning out for NPL Division One North West outfit Glossop North End on dual registration in 2018/19.

Also moving to See Park is 26-year-old Craig Roddan.

He began his career as a junior with Championship side Wigan Athletic before joining the Liverpool academy.

Following his release from Liverpool and after loan spells with Carlisle United and Accrington Stanley - he signed for the latter on a short-term deal.

A spell with NPL Premier Division outfit Witton Albion followed before he joined Sligo Rovers in the League of Ireland Premier Division where he went on to make over 50 appearances in two seasons.
