Howell arrives at the Taydal Stadium having started out at Needham Market where he earned a professional deal with Ipswich Town after impressing with the Marketmen.

As well as the Seedgrowers, Howell as also played for Bury Town and Thurlow Nunn League side Stowmarket Town, for whom he scored 21 goals in 54 games.

Manager Tom Rothery told https://www.brightlingsearegentfc.com: “Ace will add something to us in the final third and has a different dimension to the other players in our squad, I feel his pace will be a huge addition to us and the fact that he has real quality with that is obviously another huge factor for him signing and again further strengthens our squad.

“His brother already being at the club will also help him settle in quickly and I’m expecting big things from him and I believe he could be that spark we need going forward.

“He’s only 21 so once again I believe he is somebody that Pip Boyland and I can develop and aim to get the best out of him”.
